MSPSL Explained
Our Simple Guide
MSPSL is a crucial acronym used in driving to help you remember the steps to take when approaching a junction or any situation where you need to change speed or direction. Here's what it stands for:
1. **M - Mirror**: Check your mirrors to see what's happening around your vehicle. Start with the rearview mirror and then check your side mirrors.
2. **S—Signal**: Use your indicators to indicate your intentions. This will let other road users know what you plan to do.
3. **P—Position**: Position your vehicle correctly on the road. Depending on where you're going, this might mean moving to the left or right lane.
4. **S - Speed**: Adjust your speed accordingly by slowing down or braking gently. Make sure you're moving at a safe speed for the upcoming manoeuvre.
5. **L - Look**: Look around for hazards, pedestrians, cyclists, and other vehicles. Make sure it's safe before you proceed.
Remembering MSPSL will help you approach and navigate road situations smoothly and safely!
