Essential Driver Training (EDT)

The Essential Driver Training (EDT) is a program designed for learner drivers that includes a set of 12 driving lessons with an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). However, if you are eligible for reduced EDT, you only need to complete six sessions.

Yes, The goal of EDT is to enhance road safety and ultimately save lives. It is important to understand that obtaining a driving licence is not an entitlement, but rather a privilege.

As a beginner driver, you face increased risks on the road due to your lack of experience. Improving your understanding of road safety and adopting safe driving practices will empower you to share the road confidently and responsibly with others. By successfully completing EDT with an experienced driving instructor like me, you will establish a solid base to develop into a more skilled and cautious driver.

The EDT Sessions

The EDT program for beginner drivers consists of 12 one-hour sessions, totalling 12 hours. It is advised to schedule each session with a two-week gap, allowing time for additional driving instruction, practice, and completion of the necessary road safety reading. The ideal approach is to space out the EDT course over six months.
