Privacy at a Glance
ProgressLane is designed to work privately and offline. You do not need to create an account. The app does not use advertising, analytics, behavioural tracking or location tracking. Learning activity and information you enter in the app remain on your device and are not sent to Get2Drive.
Information Stored on Your Device
ProgressLane may store the following information locally on your device:
- Your selected learning jurisdiction or pathway
- Experiences you have opened or explored
- Activities and routines you have practised
- Reflection choices you have selected
- Private driving wins you choose to write
- Reading, appearance and accessibility preferences
- Northern Ireland transition settings, where applicable
- The last learning experience you opened
This information is used only to provide the app's learning, progress, reflection and personalisation features. It is not used to assess your real-world driving competence or predict whether you will pass a driving test.
ProgressLane does not ask you to enter your name, address, date of birth, licence number or contact details. You should not include personal contact information or sensitive information about yourself or another person in a private driving-win entry.
Information We Collect Through the App
The current version of ProgressLane does not transmit your learning activity, reflections, driving wins, preferences or searches to Get2Drive or to an external server.
The app does not currently use:
- User accounts or sign-in
- Advertising or advertising identifiers
- Analytics or learner tracking
- Crash-reporting services
- Location tracking
- Camera, microphone, contacts or photo-library access
- Background tracking
- Cloud synchronisation
The app may use operating-system features needed to run normally, such as local application storage and accessibility services provided by your device. ProgressLane does not use accessibility features to monitor or collect your activity.
Purchases and App Stores
ProgressLane is downloaded and purchased through an app-store provider such as Apple App Store or Google Play. The store provider may process account, payment, tax, purchase, device, fraud-prevention and diagnostic information under its own terms and privacy policy.
Get2Drive does not receive or store your full payment-card details. App-store providers may supply Get2Drive with purchase confirmation and aggregated sales or reporting information. This information is controlled by the relevant store provider and is not combined with your locally stored ProgressLane learning activity.
Contacting Us
If you contact Get2Drive for support, we will receive the information you choose to provide, which may include your name, email address, message and relevant technical details. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry, investigate a problem, maintain appropriate business records and meet legal obligations.
Please do not send private driving-win entries or unnecessary sensitive personal information when requesting support.
Support correspondence may be processed by the email or website service used by Get2Drive. It will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, record-keeping or legal purposes.
How Information Is Used
Information stored locally by ProgressLane is used to:
- Remember your chosen learning pathway
- Show your learning activity and current focus
- Save reflections and private driving wins
- Remember which activities and routines you have practised
- Apply your reading, appearance and accessibility preferences
- Restore your last position when you reopen the app
Get2Drive cannot see or recover this locally stored information.
Sharing
ProgressLane does not share locally stored learning activity, reflections, driving wins or preferences with Get2Drive, advertisers or other third parties.
App-store purchases are handled by Apple or Google, as applicable. Support information may be handled by service providers used to operate Get2Drive's email and website, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.
We do not sell personal information.
Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored ProgressLane information remains on your device until you:
- Remove individual driving wins where that option is available
- Use the in-app reset function to remove your activity, reflections, wins and preferences
- Clear the app's storage through your device settings
- Uninstall the app
Your operating system may retain app information in a device backup depending on your device and backup settings. Get2Drive does not control those backups and cannot delete or recover them for you.
Support correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
Security
ProgressLane keeps learning information in the app's local storage area. Access to that information depends partly on the security of your device and any device backup service you use.
You should protect your phone or tablet with a passcode, biometric lock or equivalent device security. No storage or security method can guarantee absolute protection.
Younger Learners
ProgressLane is a learner-driver companion and may be used by learners under 18. It does not require an account and does not knowingly collect children's personal information through the app.
Younger learners should avoid entering names, contact details, health information or other sensitive information in private driving-win entries. A parent or guardian who needs help understanding or removing locally stored information can use the in-app reset function or contact Get2Drive for guidance.
Your Choices and Rights
Because ProgressLane's learning information is stored locally and is not available to Get2Drive, you control it directly on your device. You can review your displayed activity, remove individual wins and reset all locally stored ProgressLane information from the app's settings.
If you contact Get2Drive and we hold personal information contained in that correspondence, applicable data-protection law may give you rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection. You may contact us at support@get2drive.ie.
You may also have the right to complain to the relevant data-protection authority, including the Data Protection Commission in Ireland or the Information Commissioner's Office in the United Kingdom.
International Use
ProgressLane includes pathways for the Republic of Ireland, Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Locally stored learning information remains on your device. Any information processed when you contact Get2Drive or use an app store is handled according to the location and policies of the relevant service provider and applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if ProgressLane's features, data practices or legal obligations change. The updated policy will show a revised effective date.
If a future version introduces accounts, cloud storage, analytics, advertising or any other form of data collection, this policy and the relevant app-store privacy declarations will be updated before that functionality is released.
